Yoohoo! [15 Apr 2010|08:29pm]

So, um, is anyone still around? I'm new to the community but disappointed to see that there haven't been any new posts for 3 years!

I made a new banner. It's not great, but it is something. Check it out. This community is getting a make over, so if it will sit here doing nothing, it can at least look a little better doing it!

This community is so dead. Nevertheless, I bring icons.

[fic] Evolution [15 Mar 2005|01:32pm]

I've been working on converting my friends to the good word of Shooting Fish, so naturally watching it again got my creative juices flowing (which is a terrible expression). In any case, I've got fic.

Title: Evolution
Author: Chash
Fandom: Shooting Fish
Pairing: Dylan/Jez
Rating: PG-13, for swearing
Summary: Dylan likes to plot, but he kind of sucks at it.
Disclaimer: With the not mine.
Notes: Yeah, I don’t know. Rewatching the movie is just always inspirational.

In seven easy steps!Collapse )

As a sidenote, it fills me with joy to see this community posting! Woo.

drabbley-thing [14 Mar 2005|11:44pm]

[ mood | bored ]

i decided to write a little shooting fish drabble type thing because i was watching the film and it seemed like a good idea ^_^ i apologise for my erranious use of commas i still haven't quite figured them out yet ^_^;;

It's a kind of compulsion with him

"Hey Dylan, take a look at this!" Shouted Jez to his partner in crime across the ex-gas container that was their home. The American wandered over casually enjoying the childlike glee on his friends face. "I found it in a skip on my way back from the bank today, I've always wanted one of these!" He placed a small tower with a rubber belt attached to a small motor on the table.
"What the heck is it?"
"This" said Jez as he placed a small dome on the top of the tower, "is a Van Der Graaf generator my friend." he flicked the switch and placed his hand on top of the dome.
"That's great Jez, what does it do besides making a whole not of noise?" asked Dylan, thoroughly unimpressed.
"Look, pass me that fluorescent light bulb over there." ordered Jez; Dylan promptly complied. As Jez gripped the tube it lit up as brightly as if it were plugged into the mains. "You see the static generated by the belt runs through the dome into my hand and then through my body. by coming in contact with me the particles in the tube get charged and start to glow." He explained this as though it were the simplest thing in the world.
"That's awesome, there's gotta be a way we can use this!"
"There's more you know. If you take the bulb for a sec, and we make physical contact it will flow through me into you and into the bulb" Jez took Dylan's hand to illustrate his point, he felt something unusual when their skin touched but decided that it was probably the static. Dylan felt something too and looked into the face of his friend, I wonder...
"So any form of physical contact...?" Jez raised an eyebrow at this comment,
"uh, um... yeah," Jez faltered under the confusing gaze of his friend, "the human body is about 60% water so the electricity should - " he would have gone into further detail had Dylan not decided that that was the perfect moment to kiss him. It was gentle at first but once Jez got over his surprise and started to respond the kiss became deeper and he soon began to loose himself. He was just beginning to really enjoy himself when Dylan broke the kiss and smirked mischievously.
"Well, What do you know? It does work."

I'm doing a drabble challenge meme thing at the moment, and was requested a Shooting Fish drabble, which can be found here, if anyone's interested!

[06 Jul 2004|01:23am]

I have written more fic, because I wanted to play around with Jez in love with oblivious Dylan. Thus, we have this, which might make no sense, but I feel that's a caveat all my fic should have.

Fic hunt! [05 Jul 2004|11:40pm]

[ mood | amused ]

I found this drabble here. I'm posting it because there's so little, it's nice to see other people coming out with this stuff. However I disagree with it- Dylan is entirely the hopelessly in love one and Jez is oblivious, but whatever floats your boat, eh?

Some Shooting Fish fic [04 Jul 2004|10:11am]

I just wrote some more fic for SF for contrelamontre. If you're interested, you can find it here.

Since dearest soupytwist forced coerced me to join this community, I thought I should introduce myself. :)

My name is Nevvie, and I am without a doubt a ShootingFishaholic. I've been in love with the film since it was released, I bought the dvd the moment it came out, I own the soundtrack (which is outstandingly fun) and I have a mad crush on Dylan. Although I'd marry Jez. *grins*

I'm really not a slashy kind of person (although Katie is doing her best to corrupt me, the cheeky bint), but it's just so nice to find a place to share my SFlove with others. I'm always recommending it to people, and I'm tired of getting 'bzuh?' as a reaction, instead of a much more deserved 'squee'. And squee we shall! :D

So, ermmm, hiiii. :)

Hello and fic [12 Apr 2004|10:49am]

*waves nervously* Um, hi. I'm Chash, big Shooting Fish fan for many years. So cool there's a comm now. It's a major step towards there actually being a fandom. Which is awesome. So, um, in any case, I actually just wrote some SF fic for the latest contrelamontre challenge, so if y'all are interested, you can find that here. I have apparently written seven other Dylan/Jez pieces. They're in my memories section.

In any case, great to be here! So glad this lovely film has more fans!

Ooh, first post nerves.. [12 Apr 2004|02:05am]

[ mood | accomplished ]

Welcome to Partners In Crime, the Shooting Fish slash community. Shooting Fish, and the slash contained within, is so sorely overlooked that we (Katie and myself, Kitty) felt that we had to start this community. Jez and Dylan deserve their own fandom, damnit!

So here it is. Discuss, disect and share fanish things with fellow fans (I'm confident there are more of us) :)

For my part, there should be some fanfic and hopefully some LJ icons coming soon...

Now to go pimping this place!
